| RENTALS
A three month rental is
available for the following student
quality instruments:
Flutes, clarinets, trumpets, trombones, and
drum/percussion kits are
available for $50, covering the entire three month period.
Oboes, alto saxophones, french horns, and
baritones are $75 for the
entire three month rental period.
Violins from 1/16 size to full size and
violas from 13" to 16" are available
for $50 for three months. Cellos in 1/2, 3/4, and full sizes are $75
for
a three month rental.
The entire $50 or $75 paid toward the rental
applies toward the purchase
price. In addition, you can continue renting on a monthly basis after
the
three month rental has expired. The charge to extend the rental is $30
per month, with $20 each month applying toward the purchase price of
the
instrument.
Why rent from K&M
Music?
1. Service: We know full well that
there
are cheaper instruments available from large retail chains and
the internet. Did you know that repairs on those instruments are
difficult if not impossible due to the poor construction and lack of
repair parts? Also consider this: Your child's grade in music depends
on how much time the instrument is in his or her hands. The more time
the instrument is not
working, or in a repair shop, the more your child's grade is negatively
affected. When you rent from us you get priority service from our
repair department, and repairs are free during the rental period.
2. Flexibility: You aren’t locked
into purchasing the instrument
you have been renting from K&M Music. If you decide to purchase a
rental
instrument, you can purchase one that is more or less expensive without
losing the money you have built up from your rental. You can even
switch
instruments completely. If your student started on the alto saxophone
but
wants to switch to the trombone, you can do that at any time without
losing
all the money you’ve built up from the sax rental. String players can also
switch between rental stringed instruments as they wish. However, due
to
the different natures of the string and band instrument programs, we
can’t
switch band instrument players to stringed instruments or vice
versa.
3.
Selection: K&M Music has the
best selection of the best
quality instruments in the area. Because we service what we sell, we
believe
strongly in carrying only the best quality brands available, not
cheaply
made instruments that break down often or don’t hold their value over
time.
We don’t rent used band instruments. In fact, many of the band
instruments
we rent are brand new. Many of them have been rented once or twice, but
every rental instrument goes through our repair shop for a thorough
cleaning
and inspection before being rented again.
